RED CHILLI SAUCED CHICKEN / AYAM MASAK MERAH

INGREDIENTS

1 large onions - chopped and blended
3 cloves garlic - chopped and blended
1 inch ginger   - chopped and blended
2-3 tablespoon  blended chili / chili powder or more
1 chicken - cut into small pieces
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt 
2-3 tablespoon tomato sauce / 2 ripe tomatoes (blended with water)
2 - 3 tablespoons chilli sauce
2 cups water
oil for deep frying
salt
A bit of sugar

METHOD

1. Rub the chicken pieces with the turmeric powder. Keep aside for a while.
2. Heat the oil
3. Fry the chicken pieces till half-cooked. Remove from oil and set aside.
4. Take out most of the oil usd for frying the chicken but leave about 3 tablespoons in the pan.
5. Put in the blended chilli ad fry till fragrant.
6. Add the blended onion, garlic and ginger. Fry till fragrant and well cooked.
7. Add tomato sauc chilli sauce and water. cook until boiling.
8. Add the fried chicken pieces and cook until they are tender. 
9. Add salt and sugar.
10. Cook until quite thick and serve.
